How it works

1. Pick a creator and an amount. You'll be able to ask Muse to tip any creator — say "tip $10 to Sarah's Pottery Studio." Minimum tip is $2.00.

2. See the full breakdown. Before anything is charged, you'll see the tip, the platform fee, the processing estimate, and the total. No surprises.

3. Confirm, done. You approve the payment explicitly. The creator's balance is credited the exact tip amount. Tips are non-refundable gratuities once settled.

Honest fees

The platform fee is 1.5% of your tip, or $0.10 — whichever is greater. As a supporter, you can cover the card processing and platform fee so the creator gets 100%, or choose to have fees come out of the tip. Either way, you'll see the math first.

Processing figures are estimates based on Stripe's published US domestic rate (2.9% + $0.30); international rates vary. The exact total is always shown before you confirm. Amounts shown reflect the domestic interchange baseline ($0.30 + 2.9%). Actual processor penny-rounding logic is verified during Stripe checkout initialization.

Payments via Stripe (planned). Designed so card data never touches our servers — all card entry is handled by Stripe.
You approve every tip. Nothing is charged without your explicit confirmation.
Verified creators, protected payouts. New creators start with a 7-day payout hold and graduate to 2-day payouts after verification, volume, and history checks.
Fraud protection. Unusual tips trigger security holds, and automated abuse patterns are blocked.
Architecture & Policy: No custody. The system is designed strictly on Stripe Connect Destination Charges. Funds flow directly through Stripe's regulated rails to creator accounts; the Meta Muse Connector does not take custody, hold escrow, or pool balances at any point in the transaction lifecycle.
